Here's one for you.Has the user changed his domain password recently? Try clearing the cached
SBS 2003. XP Pro client. This one user cannot access his Exchange account,
the internet, or any other server resource, even after logging on with his
correct username and password.
When he opens Outlook, it asks for his username and password. When he
starts IE, it asks for his username and password. Open up Windows Explorer
and browse to the network and click on the server, if asks for username
and password. Once entered, that particular access works fine.
One oddity is the username that pops up is not his 'domain/username'. It's
his yahoo.com email address.
I've checked the user account on the server and everything looks fine.
There are no strange problems installed on the client computer. No
processes running that are out of the ordinary, on the client. User says
he hasn't done anything or remembers something strange happening (take
that for what it's worth). I even searched the registry for his yahoo.com
email address, thinking maybe it's in a key somewhere for some reason, but
found nothing.
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped.
Rob
credentials - Control Panel/User Accounts/Advanced/Manage Passwords - clear
any domain related information in there.
