Slap me. I didn't even think to look at the event logs. I haven't had him
log on anywhere else yet either, but I will have him do that this morning.
I'll let you know what I find in the events logs too.

Can he log onto another workstation without any problems?

Logging in to the domain. That's what is so puzzling because that's the
first thing I thought of. The guy's not logging in properly so all
network resource accesses are requiring his credentials. But it's not the
case. I logged him off and back in again myself to make sure he's doing
it right. There is no indication of any problem during the logon process
either.
I even logged on to his computer with my credentials and had no problems
accessing network resources. Log back in as him and no soap.
Very strange.

Here's one for you.
SBS 2003. XP Pro client. This one user cannot access his Exchange
account, the internet, or any other server resource, even after logging
on with his correct username and password.
When he opens Outlook, it asks for his username and password. When he
starts IE, it asks for his username and password. Open up Windows
Explorer and browse to the network and click on the server, if asks for
username and password. Once entered, that particular access works fine.
One oddity is the username that pops up is not his 'domain/username'.
It's his yahoo.com email address.
I've checked the user account on the server and everything looks fine.
There are no strange problems installed on the client computer. No
processes running that are out of the ordinary, on the client. User
says he hasn't done anything or remembers something strange happening
(take that for what it's worth). I even searched the registry for his
yahoo.com email address, thinking maybe it's in a key somewhere for
some reason, but found nothing.
Any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm stumped.
