Hi Richard,
Thank you for posting here.
Actually, to workaround this issue, you should modify the WSS home page for
the links to point them to:
http://<public domain name> instead of http://<servername>.
However, to achieve this goal, you must use FrontPage 2003 to edit the
page. FrontPage 2003 is a component for SBS 2003 Premium. If you're using
SBS 2003 Premium, you can use FrontPage 2003 to modify the page by changing
the links.
As a quick workaround, you can simply add more links for external users. To
do so:
1. Open Companyweb.
2. Click the drop down menu against "Links" and choose "Modify Shared Web
Part".
3. Click "Add New Link".
4. Key in "http://<public domain name>/clienthelp/default.htm" as the link.
5. Key in "Information and Answers (External)" as description.
6. Save and close it.
7. Add other links for external users.
I hope the above info helps. If you need further assistance, please don't
hesitate to post back.
Regards,
Bill Peng

| Hi,
|
| I am using SBS 2003 and am having trouble with the links on the right
hand
| side of the CompanyWeb home page. These links are for "Information and
| Answers", "Remote e-mail access" and "Remote Server Management". The
problem
| is that they always point to the local url, such as
| http://e-s-1/ClientHelp/Default.HTM. This is fine when used on the LAN,
as
| this is a valid url. However, when used through the Remote Desktop
Workplace,
| the url is not valid. This means the user always gets a page not found
error
| when accessing them remotetly. All other links appear to change correctly.
|
| Any ideas how I can ensure these url's change to point to the correct
url
| when local or remote?
|
| Many thanks.
