Here's some more information that might help. I just updated Exchange to
SP3, and installed all the Windows Service Packs. I know that SBS2k3 has a
central patch & download site. Is there a similar site for 2000?
I found the setting for outside delivery of auto-forwards and out-of-office
replies, and enabled both of these, but still don't get my out-of-office
reply. There is also still a ton of stuff sitting in the Remote Delivery
queues.
After rebooting, I checked the system event log, and got the following ID101
warnings from W3SVC.
The server was unable to add the virtual root '/public' for the directory
'M:\geosearchdata.com\Public Folders' due to the following error: The system
cannot find the path specified. The data is the error code.

The server was unable to add the virtual root '/Exchange' for the directory

find the path specified. The data is the error code.

The server was unable to add the virtual root '/Exadmin' for the directory
'\\.\BackOfficeStorage' due to the following error: The system cannot find
the path specified. The data is the error code.

I also get 1 from NNTPSVC.
The server was unable to add the virtual root '/' for the directory
'/Internet Newsgroups' due to the following error: The parameter is
incorrect. The data is the error code.

Finally, I get error event ID 36871 from SChannel with the following
description.
A fatal error occurred while creating an SSL server credential.
I also get the following from the application log.
The configuration information of the performance library
"C:\WINNT\system32\w3ctrs.dll" for the "W3SVC" service does not match the
trusted performance library information stored in the registry. The
functions in this library will not be treated as trusted.
I think this is just for performance counters, but it still bugs me.
I also get periodic errors from MSExchangeDSAccess that have Topology as the
category, and ID of 2102.
Process MAD.EXE (PID=1468). All Domain Controller Servers in use are not
responding:
SBS2000.Geo.local

This next one's a new one to me. Its source is MSExchangeAL, it's category
is Service Control and ID 8250.
The Win32 API call 'DsGetDCNameW' returned error code [0x862] The specified
component could not be found in the configuration information. The service
could not be initialized. Make sure that the operating system was installed
properly.

I sincerely hope someone here has seen this before, and cal shed some light
on it. I also hope this thing converts to Plain text, because right now, it
looks pretty ugly, since my Event pastes changed the fonts. I am configured
to use Plain Text for NGs though.
Thanks again for any help you can offer.
