thanks for your posts.

- the server stays on still functioning fine. there is nothing I can notice
in the event logs. I will have a good look. I didn't really look into - I
don't really understand all the events in the logs.

- there is a 'apc' ups connected but I don't think any 'apc' pc software
was installed on the server - it try to keep 3rd party s/ware to a minimum
but I will try to find out if it is ups doing it.
