An application software product [running on a Client Machine in an SBS 4.5
Network] which is able to procure it's updates via the internet has "stopped
working."
In contacting the application tech support, I was asked to check and see if
ports 10,000 through 10,100 were open, since the software application uses
those ports to access the internet.
How do I check on the server to see if those ports are open?
[The conjecture is that a recent security patch to the NT operating system
"closed" some open ports, since the software "was working" but now is "not
working".
