Hi Guys
Just migrated from SBS4.5 to SBS3k. On the whole it worked really well.
(touch wood) I do have one small, problem. Of all the 18 workstations that
login, one is still on Win98. When I went to login to the new domain, it
advised me that the password needed to be changed. (This was normal - All
the other XP/Win2000 machines advised me of the same action) After changing
the password, you get presented with the login window again, which one
proceeds to attempt authentication - with the new password. Now I get this
lovely warm response - "The domain password you supplied is not correct, or
access to your logon server has been denied."
There are no errors recorded in the server event log.
Tried changing the password again for that user on the server, same result.
I've waded through a few google links on the subject but most of the fixes
appear WAY too complicated. Surely there must be an easy fix for this
problem - surely (grin)
Hope someone has struck this issue before and can shine some light my way.
Thanks in advance
Mike Nash
