Ok,
I removed the DNS setting and when I did that I got a message from windows
telling me that "as my server was running DNS, windows will automatically
point my dns settings to my DNS server"
It's like it knows your making a mistake !
I removed it anyway, rebooted - still hangs.
So restarted in safe mode, disabled the second ( Internet or WAN ) NIC,
rebooted - still hangs.
I decided that its not the 2 nic causing the problems.
Went back in, noticed in advanced settings that there was Modem Sharing
bound to each NIC, so I removed that , rebooted and no change - its still
hangs for 4 hours before booting to the desktop.
I have a sledge hammer under my desk I think I will use next !
