The reason that we are having difficulty understanding your question is that
we are not aware of any 'problem of sorting dates'. What problem are you
experiencing when sorting on dates?
I'm afraid I can't help with the expression builder, I haven't used it for
quite a long time now. To the best of my memory, I don't think I ever found
it very useful, even when I was starting out. Of course, your mileage may
vary.
