    Need more information.
    i.e.
    What is the operating system
    What version of Access
    Do you have all updates installed for the OS and Access.
    If 2000/XP, what errors if any in the event log.
    With Access closed are ther any *.ldb files on the computer
    Are you using the standard System.mdw
    Have you used Access security.

    Keep in mind, for any one to help, they need as much information as they can because
    they are not in front of your machine. This isn't a normal problem and something
    isn't allowing this to happen. This information should help to narrow it down.
