I have 97, 2003, and 2007 all on the same XP computer. I've notice no real
problems. I did make sure that each version of Access is in a different
folder. Also Office 2007 would only allow one version of Outlook on the
computer.

I also teach Access and my community college doesn't have books in yet for
2007 nor have they decided if it will be on Vista or XP computers! One more
semester of 2003 on XP would suit me fine.

OK, so I uninstalled 2007 and opened one of my databases. 2003 repaired
itself, I compiled, compacted and repaired and tada the database works.

I still have the rest of Office 2007 installed and Jet 4.0 is still the
Vista version .....4.00.9635.0.

So, what's the deal? Any ideas?

Hi Jerry

I did have them in separate folders but the gong show could not be avoided for some reason. Unfortunately, I don't think my XP machine can handle 2007, so I am stuck with putting Vista in the mix.
I think I might try uninstalling 2003, reinstalling 2007 and then reinstalling 2003. Perhaps then, 2007 will not try to hold hands with 2003.

As an instructor, I am not looking forward to this fall. I don't care what MS says, the changes in office 2007 are similar to the switch from Windows 3.1 to 95. Mass Panic!
