Re: Block Unsafe Expressions prompt

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Nudging in....

Sometimes 'Tools|Macros|Security' isn't present, so you have to reset your
Menu Bar...

1. Go to 'View|Toolbars|Customize...'
2. In the window that opens up, select Menu Bar then
click 'Reset...' to the right.
3. Then go back to 'Tools|Macros|Security' and change
your settings to 'Low'.

Should work in 2002 and 2003.

strange. My Access2003 still does not have Tools|Macros|Security either.

I have 02 and 03 on the same machine...not that this matters...

Looking at Help it agrees with you to lower setting of Macro Security
(though doesn't tell you where or how...)

Someone else sent me a link to info concerning an upgrade of Jet
needed...perhaps this upgrade will add the Macro/Security too... remain
a
little baffled at the moment....

Tools|security does not cut it. You are looking for
Tools|Macros|Security. As far as I know, running 2003, it exists the
same way in 2002. Make sure you open a database that is giving you that
error message, without any macros or code autorunning that might change
the menu.

It will present you with a box titled Security Level and three radio
buttons.
