According to Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 158933 once
you get this error message your database is beyond hope of
repair. Your only answer is to go back to the recent
backup that still works. You also need to upgrade to
Office 97 SR-2 then run another Jet35sp3.exe to update
some .dll files. What has happened is a System file has
become corrupt and this process is supposed to prevent it
from happing again. Reading this Article will make
things more clear.
