Hmm. Are you suggesting that Access's encryption is not
sufficient? It's stronger in 2007 than before, in fact.
No. I just have no experience with it and don't want to bother
with it.
Uh, that would suggest you've never actually use Jet ULS?
It's pretty simple, actually -- a single step on the Tools |
Security menu. And then it's completely transparent to the user --
Access decrypts it when opening, without any additional steps
required.
I just can't see the point of writing code to encrypt/decrypt
strings in your MDEs when you can just do it the built-in way.
