Workgroup Security is an advanced topic. It appears you are guessing

Workgroup Security is no longer available in Access 2007 new .accdb
format. Hint, Hint.

I have recent designed a Access database on the server in my office and am
trying to set it up for simultaneous multi-user access and workgroup
security, but have been unsuccessful. When I setup security access from one
workstation, subsequent use of the database from that workstation, prompts me
for a logon and password which was previously successfully setup at the
workstation. If I go to another workstation and access the same database
over the network , the workstation is able to access the same database
without being prompted for a logon. I assume it is accessing the database
under the Admin default. This type of simultaneous access also doesn't allow
for simultaneous record editing or additons. How do I configure the database
for multiple user access for different workstations with security, and at the
same time allow for simultaneous edits, and additons to records in the
database ?
