Slow Response on Shared Data-using Workgroup
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
We have an important Monitoring Database we used in Access 2003 with
not problems. Since it is a highly secured Database users had a
shortcut on their desktop thought the Workgroup settings on a shared
server, which redirected them to the database on the server.
We moved to new Vista, officer 2007 Machine last week, and now using
the shortcut, redirected to Office12, our response time is 10-15
minutes to open the database, and every action after can go 5-10
minutes each.... unusable.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to an alternated security
settings, or set-up? Thanks
.
