Re: How do I convert "System.mda" (Access97) to System.mdw ("Access200

You can't (use a system.mda).

Though the system.mda/mdw will open the db when both are converted to later,
you'll get "No permission on MSysAccounts". Anyway it's easy enough to check,
try altering permissions or something.

This appears to be a bug, but anyway it's a fact.

If you can remember all the PID's/WID you can just recreate a new mdw. If you
can't remember that, you'll need to desecure and start anew.

(if the system.mdw was created in A97, there is no problem, or not this
problem.)

There is some documentation in the SecFAQ, from memory it says "don't convert
mdw's!". There is documentation there on desecuring I think.

I'm sorry, it's not the answer you want.
