You only need that reference if you are using the ADOX object library to
programmatically manipulate database structure or security. If you're not,
you don't need it. If you are, you could specify MDAC 2.8 as a minimum
requirement, or you may be able to use late binding (but I haven't tested
that myself) or you could use DAO instead. The later would be my preference.
