Access Security Set Up

I set up individual security of an access database on my workstation, logged
in as different users and everything works fine. I think copy this file to
the network and it no longer allows me to log in.

I also tried to move my .mdb file to a network drive, ran the security
wizard to establish a workgroup file and then tried to open this file from
various work stations. Again this file failed to open.

Obviously I'm not completely understanding the requirements to set up
security of Access over a network.
