I have an access .mdw file that has been operating
smoothly for several months now. Just the other day once a
new copy of the front end database was uploaded to the
network, suddenly I started experiencing user's having
problems making changes to their data. I went in the
security file on the network through my computer and
noticed that their "Update" and "Insert" rights for the
queried behind these forms had been stripped away. So I
added them back in to the mdw. Still no luck. It wouldn't
update for the user until I went to the user's machine and
manually made the update to the security file from their
machine that the changes would take for the user and be
seen within the workgroup file from the user's machine.
Why is this? The users are all mapped to the Security file
that is located on the network. They access the security
file when they start up a shortcut on their desktop.

Any idea what could be wrong? It's always the same 8
queries that lose their permissions. And it's only these
two groups of people that are having the problems.
