In response to your questions:

this is before Access opens they get the prompt

there are no links to any file/table on my PC

I know that it is using this file as the.ldb file
associated with it is created whenever i open Access.

I agree, I will be changing the name of the workgroup file
to a more suitable one, once i have this issue resolved.
