Hi Brian,
Correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like the database and/or the MDW
resides on your PC.
Thereby, it's like a user trying to open any file (Excel, Word, Notepad) on
your PC they will get prompted for the password (unrelated to Access User
Level Security).
Check sharing out the folder where the MDB and MDW files resides.
I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

| Hi,
|
| i have implemented user level security and have a
| system.mdw file residing in the same network folder as the
| database. I have set command line parameters so that the
| database opens and uses this system file.
|
| However, when another user, other than myself, tries to
| open the database, they are prompted for the network
| password for my PC. I thought i had this sorted with the
| command line parameters, which work for me.
|
| any suggestions? should i create a new system file using
| work group admin? how can i be sure that the above wont
| happen again?
|
| thanks in advance
|
| Brian
