Hi Todd,

Thanks for your post. According to your description, I understand that the
error "2147024769, Method 'Open' of object 'Connection' failed" occurred
with ADODB.Connection after installation of Jet 4.0 SP8, MDAC 2.7SP1a, and
Office 2000 SP3. If I have misunderstood, please feel free to let me know.

Please check the references of the Access database to see if there is any
abnormity.

Open your Access application-> Click on Tools in the VBA environment->
References-> uncheck the object that you feel could be the problem, click
OK, save your Access database. Open the References list one more time and
check back the one that you previously uncheck, Browse to the DLL (Object)
to find it with the right Path. Save and Make your Access database.

What is the version (service pack) of the operation system? Please upgrade
your operation system with the latest service pack.

Thanks for posting in community.

Regards,

Michael Shao
