Hello,
We recently upgraded an Access 2000 database to Access 2003. There
are over 100 reports that were designed to use the 'defaultprinter'.
We have customers in UK and AU that use the A4 paper size as well as
customers in the US that use the Letter size. In Access 2000 when you
print the report the settings of thedefaultprinterwere
automatically applied. However, in Access 2003 thedefaultprinter
settings are ignored. So our UK and AU customers are discovering that
they now need to select the proper paper size each time they print a
report in our application.
I read in this Microsoft article that Word 2003 will pull the page
settings of the document and use those settings when printing. Is
this applicable to Access 2003 as well? Is there a workaround so that
our reports can be used by customers around the world with different
settings?

Thank you for your help.
I should add some more information:
- we do not modify printer settings programmatically
- the Name Auto Correct option is not selected
- in each case there is a default printer selected (the proper drivers
are installed as this worked fine in Access 2000)
- users are running Access 2003 Runtime and Office 2003 SP3
.
