Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Marsh,

Have tested the code. All seems well at this point.

I did run into a part number the uses a front slash / in the part to
indicate fractions that caused Access to object, but decided I could do
without the numbers and deleted them.

Appreciate your netiquette comments. I was mindful at the time, but
thought a complete look for you would be valuable.

Out of curiosity, what city do you live in? I travel sometimes and would
like to buy you dinner or drinks or something

Thx

Tom

Believe you are correct. Think you have a winner here. Let me do some
more testing, but I think you have done it! The dashed and dotted numbers
are sorting perfectly!!

This was/is a tough problem to understand and I hope it all
checks out.

One word on netiquette though. In the future, please do not
post long lists (no more than a dozen or two items).
Remember that there are a LOT of people that do not have a
high speed connection and may even pay for their connection
by the minute. Also, 99.99% of the people that subscribe to
this newsgroup have no interest in your problem nor its
solution. Even those that might be interested will lose
track of whatever point you are trying to make long before
they can scroll thorough a long list trying to discern the
point of it all. Instead, strip out all but the essentials
that demonstrate the pattern under discussion.
