From my reading, pdf files have attachments vs. embedded documents.
Some pdf sites seem to be pushing the attachments as a means of
skirting email filters that look for attachments with certain
extensions, though my purpose would be to provide additional
information in a seperate, yet related, document. There are tools
available for attaching documents to the pdf, but the several I
evaluated were unable to handle the pdf as currently generated. One of
them cited web optimization or the type of linearity that the document
is created.
