I have an Access 97 database, which I've made a copy of
and converted to Access 2000 format. The operating
system being used is Windows XP. When trying to
run/preview some of the reports, I get the error:

"There was a problem retrieving printer information for
this object. The object may have been sent to a printer
that is unavailable."

This error occurs whether I use Access XP to open the
file in 97, 2000, or 2002 format. Not all the reports
are being affected thus, just a few of them. If all
printers are deleted from the computer opening the
database, the report runs perfectly. As soon as any
printer is installed, it bugs out.

I have verified that the default printer has a valid name
and its driver is not corrupt. The regional settings on
the computer are correct and not corrupt. Acrobat
PDFWriter is not installed. I have changed the default
printer, trying a couple of different printers. I have
compacted the database both in 97 format and 2000 format.

Opening the 97-formatted file in Access 97 allows the
reports to print correctly, in both Windows 2000 and
Windows XP. Is there a step in the conversion I'm
missing? Thanks for your help!
