Re: Homegrown synchronization



I am sorry if this sounds silly but, have you ever considered to use
XML for this kind of task ?
I'm asking this because I'm planning to learn and use them for this
purpose.

AFAIK for master/detail records this may work better than handling them
seperately. And the files will be much smaller for transfer.

It may be a good idea for you or at least you can correct me if I am
wrong.

By the way I suggest you not to rely on open / close events or handle
them very carefully for synchronizations since there may be unexpected
situations like freeze etc.
