Two things I know that can slow the database front-end down; UNC pathing and
sharing drives.

Don't have the linked tables connected with a UNC path on the local machine.
It runs like a dead dog.
Sharing drives issue, see below.

I have a MS Access application which I need to replicate. The Design Master
is on my server so when I am in the office I use the networked copy which is
shared with all the users on the network. The proble is when I rake my
laptop away and use the Replica backend then the FrontEnd application is
extremly slow. Yet with the same data but not as a replica it work like a
champion about 10 times faster. If anyone has any advise will appreciate
it.

Warren.
