Hello,
I am working on an Oracle 9i database, and running fairly simple queries through an access database. I am running a series of queries, one of which, for no clear reason, continuously brings the database down. It does not exactly crash, but it locks all other users out, and the DB needs to be bounced for anyone to get back in.
We have corrected the problem by configuring the connection to use the Oracle ODBC Driver, rather than the Microsoft one, but it seems like this is still an issue. Does anyone know why running a simple query with the Microsoft ODBC for Oracle driver would bring the DB down? Just thought I'd ask.
Thanks for any help you can give!
