Hi Jerry,
I specialize in doing this. I have done it numerous times. There's no way to
tell you how to do it because each case is different. If you would like my
help, contact me.
A common problem that arises is that Mrs. Smith's is Mrs. Joe Smith and Mrs.
Smiths is Mrs. Paul Smith. Another scenario might be that Mrs. Smith's is
from City A and Mrs. Smiths is from City B. All this plus numerous other
nuances must be worked out to make the resulting data more accurate.

Hello out there,
Every customer list data-entry variation creates a new listing. For
example,
"Mrs. Smith's" entered as "Mrs. Smiths" creates yet another "customer,"
tied
to the transactions recorded to the variation.
Can ACCESS work through a table of several thousand listings, group
probable
variations, and update transaction detail to a single, standard customer
name
for each customer.
A further complication develops when a customer changes or adds addresses
or
drop ships to third party addresses.
Jerry
