They will be able to get at the data using any ODBC-compliant client (such
as Excel or even Word).
They will not be able to use the forms or reports.
If that's not sufficient for your needs, there is a run-time version of
Access available that you can bundle with the application. Users who don't
have Access can install the run-time and use your application.
You need to purchase the following in order to create an Access 2003 runtime
application:
- Microsoft Access 2003
- Visual Studio Tools for Office 2005 (which includes the Access 2003
Developer Extensions)
The ADE is the product that gives you the license to deploy the 2003 runtime
components and you have to have Access 2003 installed in order to install
the ADE.
Microsoft no longer sells the run-time for previous versions of Access.

I am in the process of gathering data to build a database for a company. My
question is: If some of the staff does not have Access on their computers,
can they still view the database, and if not is there some sort of reader
or
??, they can download to use?

Thanks for the help
