Normally Statistics packages require 'denormalized data' whereas databases
store data in a 'normalized state'. The best bet is from access -->
excel --> spss. I know spss will read and excel file directly, I'm not sure
about a *.mdb file. You will need to look at the spss documentation. Some
stats packages read dbI,II,III,IV files, so maybe they now will read access.
As a statistician, I find I almost always need to take my data from a
database using a query to pull out the data rows in the format I need them
to process them in either SAS or Systat (I am not a user of SPSS). :>
