If I understand correctly...
If you use a wizard, there is probably a "style" selection during the wizard
build process. You need to select a style that outlines the fields of your
report with a "border".
You can always go back to a wizard designed report (in manual design mode),
and set the borders of those fields to...
BorderStyle = Solid and BorderColor = Black.
