Access 97 - rows repeat when entering
Date: Thu, 5 Aug 2004 20:27:49 -0700
Beginning user of Office 97 on a Windows 98se machine.
I am entering new data on a table and when I hit the Enter
key to go to the next row, all the data I just typed
changes to a copy of the line above it (the last line of
the previously-saved table). When I sort the data, what I
originally typed shows up in its correct place, so it all
works out, but it makes proofreading before closing the
table difficult. This doesn't happen all the time, but
often enough to be annoying. I've found I can click the
cursor into the next row instead of hitting Enter and it
usually (perhaps always - I'm not 100% sure) doesn't
change my entries, but this is not as convenient of course.
This has happened to me on my home machine and at work, so
I'm assuming it's not unheard of and that I've explained
it well enough. Any help or pointers to a patch are
appreciated. I tried searching the KB, but I couldn't
narrow my search well enough.
