Use Remote Desktop (if your version of Windows supports it) or a client such
as Citrix. VPN is extremely slow and not recommended.
Albert Kallal (MVP) has a lot of info about this:

Hi Alll,
I have an Access database on branch office (other country) I need to
connect from oother place via VPN.
What is the best method to connect Access database via VPN? if
possible to connect direct via VPN. Have tested using WinXP-VPN
setting for both computer but very slow. Or must use Replication
method? Is it possible to use access in client-server style?
TIA
Yanto
