No, EXCEL 2003 has no knowledge about the .accdb file format because EXCEL
2003 was released before ACCESS 2007 was being designed.
Your best result probably will be to convert the ACCESS 2007 files to ACCESS
2003 format.

I have built an Access database that is used for imports into Excel. I have
run into problems at my company where the Excel spreadsheets do not work
properly on other user's PC's because Excel does not recognize the .accdb
file.
Only solution I have found is downloading the trial version of office 07
each persons computer but this is a hassle becuase it makes everything
defualt to 2007 and they really only know 2003.
Any other programs or readers that will make Excel recognize the .accdb
file
w/o Access?
Thanks!
