Sorry Stephen! That's the problem with text, you don't get the sentiment
with the words.

I had hoped some fix had been found since your post back in 2005. Thank you
for your definitive answer to the question, I will stop fighting Access on
this one.

I truly appreciate the help. You have helped me numerous times in the past
and I can't thank you enough!!!!

Geeze Daniel, I certainly did not intend for my post to come across as rude.
Short, yes, but not rude.

I did not post a workaround, pointer to a Bugfix, etc. because there is no
solution to this issue other than resetting the Margin props to "0".

Stephen,

I use Google groups every day. The only post I found on the subject
involved you and there was no solution provided.

http://groups.google.ca/group/microsoft.public.access.forms/browse_thread/thread/d560b41fa5abbcd4/f63dbc3e6cdd2c19?hl=en&lnk=st&q=ms+access+textbox+not+displaying+scrollbar#f63dbc3e6cdd2c19

Furthermore, a search of the MS KB for 'access text box scrollbar' provide
12 articles, none of which even remotely cover the question? I am still
at a
loss and therefore the question. I don't ask too many questions, I'm a
little surprised by the response I must say.

As such my question still stand, is there a fix - beside removing the
margins?

Thanking you for your help,

Daniel Pineault

This is a known issue. You really should learn how to use GoogleGroups,
search the MS KB, etc.. A good developer requires these tools in their
arsenal.

I have been fighting for a few weeks with one form, well one text box in
particular. I couldn't get it to display the vertical scrollbar.

Today, I finally decided to try another approach and inserted a new
textbox,
set the scrollbar property to vertical et voila (as they say). The
bloody
scrollbar appeared. I then went through each property one by one
changing
the value, previewing the effect.... after a short while I ended up
finding
that if I set any of the Margin values to anything other than 0" my
scrollbar
would not be displayed??????! Why?

Is this a known issue? Is there a fix which permits margins being
specified
while still displaying the scrollbar?

One miffed developer.

Daniel
