I was aware of the continuous form option. I am prototyping
an application and liked the default formatting of the data***
since I have about twenty of them. Additionally, the DS provides
the column functionality (in the column header) by default giving
my users an easy way to change their sort preferences, filters,
column order, etc.

Many experienced Access developers avoid giving users the capability for
data*** view because (we have learned from unpleasant experience) it is so
easy for them to inadvertently make changes or updates that aren't
beneficial. Data*** view is useful for end-user databases, but I provide
the necessary functionality in my applications.
