move column

hi there, this seems like the most basic thing. I want to see how i can move
columns. the thing was my columns could move before all right but i think i
might have mistakenly clicked on something that locked my columns so i cant
move them anymore. When i try to it shows a cirle with a diagonal line in the
middle instead of a triangle so i can move the column. Any ideas ???thanks
