Format problem with subform in data*** view ?

Hi,
I'm having an a silly problem with forms/subforms. I've created a subform,
and formatted the controls in design view to use a certain size font/style.
But when I use the subform on my main form, I'm using data*** view, and I
can't find any way of setting the font style/size for the data*** view. It
doesn't follow the sizes set in the design view, which I guess makes sense
since the controls may be different sizes, but I can't see where to do this
anywhere else. The access help doesn't give any clues, It doesn't seem to
have a listing for data*** view at all.
Any ideas ?
