Problem in retrieving Date Field using ADO in VC++

Hello,

When I use ADO in VC++ program to retrieve a date field from MS Access Database.
And when I check the value retrieved its showing the date 1 January 1970.

I need to compare the retrieved value with a CTime object.

Any clues on this particular problem.
