Hi All...
Bit of a newbie on Access but as my boss has asked me to do some stuff I guess I have to learn all about it!!!
A little question and all you seasoned pros on here will probably be laughing heartily when reading this....i can handle the embarassment of asking such a stupid question, if i get a sensible answer!!!
I have a search form which allows me to enter criteria for a query/report, it works fine with dates and numerical values so i know the logic behind it is sound, however I want to be able to input Text values, well initials actually so I can output a report based on the input. I have an unbound text box at the moment, but in its format field under properties I cant select anything other than a date/number or true/false etc. Thats my question....why is it so and is there a way I can allow the user to enter Text in there and it be used as the report criteria??
As i said a silly question... if anyone can help after wiping the tears of mirth from their eyes I would be most grateful
Cheers
Andy
