Re: How do I fix ActivX component can't create object

Hi, Keith.

I am unable to import data

There are seven ways to import data. Without knowing which method you're using,
it's hard to troubleshoot your problem. I'll take a stab in the dark and say
that your DAO library may need to be re-registered. If you're using Access
2000, 2002 or 2003, then try:

Regsvr32.EXE "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"

I am unable to import data into an existing database because of the error
message in my question viz. ActivX component can't create object. No other
information, such as an error code, as to the nature of this message is
provided by Access or MS Office.
