RE: [ODBC Text Driver] Cannot update. Database or object is read only.

I have a very similar problem. I have data in text files with non-standard
endings (eg .pmd or .dlg) that I need to keep (I think) in order to keep
track of the data type/source. The text ODBC driver gives the same error,
and won't let me query them. Did you find any way around this?
