Hi Benjamins,
You might be interested in a note between myself and Tom Wickerath in the
microsoft.public.access forum. Installed to a folder in the root directory
is discussed there.
Once the PDW has created an .msi file you can manually edit this with a
program called Orca
(http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2004/07/12/180792.aspx). Suggest
you make a backup of the .msi file and then open the .msi file in Orca.
Under the Tables column click on Directory and add in a new row. Under
Directory column type in LocalAppData then under Directory Parent enter
TARGETDIR. Now look for the DATABASEDIR entry in Directory Column and
overtype the Directory Parent column (which will be showing the directory
that you originally chose in the PDW) with LocalAppData.
Give that a try.
Regards
Di

I am using 2003. It will be easier for anyone who take over me to find the
file easily, Company policy.

I was using the Package Wizard to distribute my application. How do i
create
the folder i want to put in, like "C:\<foldername>" as mine was not able
to
install into root drive like "C:" or any other root drives. I have the
only
choice of Program Files, Common files, user's My Document.
What version of Access are you using so I can take a look at the
wizard myself?
Some IT departments won't let you create new folders on the root of
the drive.
Why not use the users My Documents folder?
