I am getting confused, are the "Access 2003 Developer Extensions" (I have
those installed on my system)
the same as the "Developer edition"?
If no can I still find somewhere the "developers edition" for Access 2003
If yes any idea why can't I see these extensions when I go to the add in
manager (as they should be according to my "mastering Access 2000
development book") ( I do have a whole range of Access versions installed on
my machine including 2007, would that cause any trouble?)

Yes, you can run 2003 runtime with 2007 installed.

As you say most cases work fine, but 1) in this case most other user have
2003 so I would prefer not to have to deal with a mulitversion
application and 2) there are apparantly issues when running the
application on 2007.
so still my question is it do-able or not?

But you can run access 2003 application on 2007, for most cases this
works just fine, no need to install 2003 runtime

I have an application that works well in Access 2003 but as it is
getting harder and harder to find an Access 2003 software, can I make an
Access 2003 runtime version with Access 2007 installed?
