Report printer spec won't hold across XP/2000 platforms.

We have an Access application running on a network. It has one report that
always prints to a specific printer in a different building, regardless of
who runs it. This aplication ran reliably when all workstations were
Win2000, but now we have a mix of 2000 & XP.
The report now, occassionally, loses the "Print to specific Printer"
specification and goes back to the "Default Printer". I suspect that it may
not be finding the remote printer across the network (perhaps there is a
timeout issue) so it resets to the default. However, when any one computer
resets to the default printer, most workstations seem to reset.
Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
