Thanks for investigating Chris. On the uninstall the
shortcut is removed from the desktop, but indeed on
reinstall with new shortcut icon, the old icon comes up on
the desktop. However, when I change the icon in
properties, the o0nly choice that comes up in the window
is the new icon (although the old icon is the one
displayed on the desktop). I choose the new icon, apply,
and it now shows up on the desktop.
