Yes. I have been for years - I must be a bit slow :-)
...on "official forms" where I don't have much control over layout. Several
times over the years I've "squashed up" the forms, another 1mm of margin here
or there, only to have another printer come out (the last one was a Ricoh).
Oftentimes, printing to any laser with a "standard driver" eg Laserjet III or
Laserjet IV driver can fix minor margin problems (like blank pages). But
obviously not with an ink-jet so my policy on ink-jets is "it either works or
it doesn't".
I imagine you'll find slight width differences whatever font you use, so I
don't expect font will solve the problem. Sometimes it's possible to go down
1/2 point in font with "no-one noticing". In any case, it is very likely there
will be slight word-wrap differences to an "official form", and this is just
standard Windows/PC limitations and something I accept. The fix is to rush it
through the official approval process, and then claim "But You Approved It!!!"
(making it their fault, facetiousness with a hint of truth)

A2003 can certainly open A2000 databases (I'm told, I don't have A2003), but
each mdb needs testing that way. The most likely and almost certain fault
(-approximately-) is that references on the target machine may be different or
missing. Look for posts or websites of Doug Steele or Tony Toews for
everything you don't want to know about references.
There seem to me two(2) approaches:
1- have a test site running under A2003. However, I don't recommend running an
app on other versions because sh** happens.
2- install the runtime version YOU expect, which is A97. Generally, several
Access can be installed and I don't recall any great heartache if one is "full
current" and the other is "old runtime". e.g. A97runtime with A2k or A2k2, A2k
runtime with A2k2, no feedback with A2k3.
3- I must be confused. I thought you wanted to use A97.
Chris :-)
